    Hi all,

I've just switched the homepage of my site from
    http://www.webbriefcase.com.au/index.php to
    http://www.webbriefcase.com.au/site/index.php

I made a permanent redirect in my htaccess file to redirect all traffic
going to my old homepage to go to the /site/ folder instead.

Can anyone tell me if Google would equate my root folder to the /site folder
and thus rank the /site folder as if it were my root?

More specifically, should I continue building backlinks to my root URL
(i.e. http://www.webbriefcase.com.au/) since it will redirect anyway
or should I start building links using the /site URL?

    Regards,
    Bina.

If you used a 301 redirect then the PR wil be passed...I'm not sure how long it will take...

Thanks for your reply. So, are you saying that I can continue building links to
http://www.webbriefcase.com.au and it will reflect in the PR of /site/index.php.
    Is that right?
