    Hi,
If my domain name gets changed, will it affect my page rank. If so, is there any techniques to mitigate this effect.

If domain name is changed then how to pass PR to new domain?
You need to redirect old domain to new domain.

Unfortunately there are no methods to change if the domain you do not lose any PR or traffic to your site. However, you can from the old domain to put a 301 redirect to new domain, and then all the backlinks will move from the old domain to new.

In general, whether it is in order? Why change a domain name? Can avoid it like that?

You will lose your PR, obviously, since you're relocating to a new site. You can use a 301 Redirect.

The impact is greater than you think. PR is based on a PAGE not a site. Therefore every page within you site must be reindexed, re-PRed and finally any and all links to the site will be broken.

Make sure before you do this, you have your old sites Google Webmaster Tools set up for this. See <Site configuration><Change of address> for instructions. See http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=83105&hl=en for their advice on how to do this.

What ever you do, go slow...

Totally agree with you that redirects have to put on each page where there is a PR.
but about the links I did not understand a bit, as they will be violated? because he can simply change the old database to the new domain.

Off course it will affect your ranking. New domain will take more time & more efforts to get ranked well in SERPs.
