It happened to me quite a few times and thats a problem with FF, i guess.
Now, I'm using Google Chrome... so... you better get that too... Its works amazingly, like the old FF used to work on XP. :)

Was getting this problem too. I installed some Windows updates and it seemed to make it OK. Although when I removed AVG Internet Security everything went back to normal. Not sure if that was the cause of it. Maybe AVG was interfering with it in a way

But yes it was using a hefty load of RAM.

Yes I am also noticing the same issue. I have found FF 3.5.3 is slow compared to chrome and safari. And FF eats a huge amount of RAM. Something around 250 Mb.

See what I mean. Despite every test, every analysis, every expert, you'll always find people like this who somehow contradict the rest of the world.

Firefox has constantly been getting more bloated and hungry by every update.

I can't even hardly use it anymore, it's exactly like IE.

And no, I ain't got spyware etc and other browsers like safari, opera, chrome all work fast.

I counted six. There are millions and millions of users and some of them, in this thread, say they have no such problem.

??? So CNET, ArsTechnica, Lifehacker running these browsers using both testing software and just a stopwatch and taskmanager mean less to you than some random person posting on a forum? lol.

I'm not reading some random posting on the internet, and then reaching an opinion (I am not you).

I'm a real person, it's me that sees how crap the browser has become, should I not believe what I'm seeing? and what others are seeing because we post it on the internet?

Do we really care about CNET? or even if Obama likes Firefox? or they say it's the fastest? If the proof not in the pudding? The fastest browser right now is Chrome (love it or hate it)

The fact remains that on a dual processor 6ghz system with gigs of memory a browser should not be slow, bloated and generally naff to the point it is no longer functioning or crashers, it's not imaginary either other browsers work faster and don't hog resources.

Firefox not to long ago admitted their browser was a resource hog and that was supposed to be solved in the update (NOT)

You are a typical, clueless Windows user who only blames the software and doesn't understand how OSes operate and glean their total knowledge from what Microsoft tells you to think without thinking for yourself. That is why you will continue to struggle with such things along with those posters who don't know how computers really work and, rather than follow the facts, cling needlessly to rumors and kids on forums.

lol, Do you work for Firefox? I've only seen people so adamant about a product being the ones who made it, other than that those that have wet dreams about a product.

Where does MS say anything about FF? I don't know:confused: IE sucks just like FF so it's hardly worth mentioning MS.

FYI: I probably know more about computers than you, I use many OS'es including Linux (which is probably the best) and coincidentally Firefox sucks on that too when compared to what it used to be on Linux.

It's not that everything has problems except FF it's probably the other way around (roll on chrome for Linux)

You need to face it Firefox is now as crappy as IE:p
