EEEEKKKK!! Firefox Cannot Handle Windows 7

As an SEO I constantly use firefox,

But since getting Windows 7, it seems as though Firefox is really slow, laggy and out of date.

IE on the other hand is flying on Windows 7

Windows 7 is running superb otherwise, the only problem is Firefox and its using around 500mb of ram

Anyone else noticing this problem? Any fixes?

Or is it a secret ploy to slow the growth of Firefox by making IE the fastest browser

Nope the funny thing is that I havent any plugins installed yet, as its happening without any plugins. Once I add the plugins it will probably crap out even more

i think you got it the wrong way around .... windows 7 does not want to handle firefox ;)
My firefox in Ubuntu seldom, if ever uses, more than 200Mb with 8+ tabs open.

I am using W7 because I do not work on old computers, and any new computer I buy comes with Windows 7

XP was a great OS but its had its day, time to move with the trends

That's bad news. I've just put Windows 7 on my other HDD, but did not install any applications yet.
Hope the new firefox versions will work fine on it, otherwise I'll stick with my fantastic and old XP :p

There must be something wrong with your computer.
Do you use a very old PC?
I have over 40+ tabs open and use about 20-25 different add-ons and my CPU is 30%-35% for Firefox and 380-400 mb RAM.

So obviously this is a problem only with the OP's computer alone. I suggest you reinstall Windows7 to, perhaps, fix whatever problems Win7 caused or get some tech support to fix your install of Firefox since no one else has any issues.
