Well, We are (probably all) are webmasters over here. This means, we like websites in some way or the other. But, I feel that a person, should also have some educational qualification? I mean..something to do with IT? Your thoughts on this? What is the most appropriate degree for a webmaster?
Not really! You can also become a webmaster gaining more knowledge by yourself. It is not that you need to have educational qualification to become a webmaster
A degree? you can do computer sciences they have units on website designs and programming. But really, you can just get a diploma at a college instead. Some webmasters here are self taught
I have a semester of community college under my belt and I've made dozens of websites professionally. This is one of those fields where you can learn so much more on your own.
I don't think we need a degree. I take computer science in university and I should become a programmer or similar, instead I choose to become a webmaster after I took 3 months course after I graduated.
Most webmasters here have done self study. On the whole there isn't any degree as such required, but a degree in computer science could help if you wish to be better than average in coding and designing
It is quite easy to become a webmaster nowaday,so it is not need to require a degree for webmaster,but for designers and coders ect,who are really need degrees.
webmaster means business man , a business man need instant ideas by real time trends so there is no a degree for that , study self and earn .......
There is a big difference between being a webmaster a loser and being a successful one it's just like forex , education is always required !

The only educational qualification i have is GNVQ ICT Foundation (office skills word powerpoint excel ect) I am also considering getting alot more educational qualifications untill i am 30 (but working from home using www.icslearn.com)
If i was going to hire i webdesigner on the net i would not ask to see his degree slip lol i would ask to see previous work and itrader results here!
I guess, it actually depends from person to person. Some, think Education is essential..and some don't.. Different people, different perspective of viewing things.
