Hey all I am taking an independent study for school over C++ and am in need of a good educational C++ book. It needs to be able to start from the very basics of C++ and give some in-depth knowledge. I prefer this book have practice problems or challenges in it as well.

Thanks for all help in advance!

I suggest you use video course also. Such as lynda.com. It's really fast and efficient way to learn basics.

Instead of reading books could be difficult for you at start , so you must try to watch video tutorials first and then should consult a book for more details. I read book let us c by yashwant kantikar, it was pretty awesome but it was for c not c++. Both languages have minor diffidence.
