Your adsense on the right side is not the best position. I think it is better to place it at the bottom of your post. By the way, what is the name of this theme that you are using in masterinusa? Nice one.

I have seen the rectangle ads placed at your right side bar. But it won't give you a better conversion. If you are enjoying 6k traffic per month then your visitors are more likely to read your content in the blogs. If you place text links ads in between each new blogs then you will get more clicks from the readers.

Quick Changes - Get rid of the link ads, every time I added them to my pages, the ad awareness increased and my clickthroughrate decreased. Not to mention they don't pay well.

Remove the large banner ad at the top. Again, they usually don't work very well because the visitors eyes go directly towards the post titles. In the main page, ad a 469 banner ad under each post title. Then at the actual post page, place a large 368 rectangle ad under the post titles and put a 468 banner again under the post's content.

See how that works out. The colors you are using are fine.

They look okay, but remember that Adsense has they unique format of ads. So you should make your site like the ads no the ads to look like your site it would be easier that way for you.

Show ads after the content is good place. It is something like you notify user that if you are looking for more information, visit these links and you make money.

Testing is a good practice to judge which placement works better. Also don't display too many ads because it will reduce your overall CTR and affect in cost. So, use Google Adspense wisely.
