EDU to COMs

    I was wondering if anyone could explain the power ratio between EDU domains and COM domains.

    There isn't anything in terms of "Power". Its just an address and it doesn't affect your performance in any way.

    With that said, .COM domains are more preferred, they are easier to remember, more appealing and target the ENTIRE world and help your site blend in. .COM domains target all niches and everyone.

    .EDU domains are more related to "Education" as per the name itself. So it could be for a School, University etc.

    I would recommend a .COM domain.

    Ah I should have clarified.. that's my bad. I meant in terms of SEO (backlinks), for marketing my website.

    i can only tell one thing about this, it is, people are more familiar with .com domains than .edu... So .com domains get some advantage

    In My opinion .Edu domains are tough to get approved and once approved little seo needs to get a high PR and value because of authority,.Com is good but need extensive work to get to top of search engines
