.edu spam

I got this submission in few hours ago but in fact I have received many submissions in another directory. They all use .edu domains. Is there anyone else got some spams?

Really confused about this, if people easily get .edu space and doing spams, would it be higher value than normal domains again?

It is an Australian domain, probably just a NSW university free web space.

But yeah .edu domains have more power in the engines because they should only be issued to reliable sites

Probably a spammer creating spam pages on a badly configured wiki page.

Looks like it has been deleted already.

Just check the other directory, .edu spams continues. I'd consider it has been hacked by someone.

No .edu domains don't carry higher value than other domains.

I get these a lot. I change the URL to my directory and then set the link inactive. Since Titles have to be unique in the categories, future spam attacks in the same category bounce.

Hopefully you guys have patched any pld 2.xx directories against javascript attacks: http://www.after5webdesign.com/news/?postid=10

You just gave the spammer live links from digitalpoint - perhaps you could get a mod to make the urls inactive...

Actually i noticed that there were live URL's in my post today whilst reading additional responses, however the editing grace period was over...

Getting a mod to delete the URL's won't work as i asked for a URL to be removed once from one of my posts & the response was something like "We don't edit posts or URL's in posts, once it's posted it's there forever"
