no, there's not. very few edu sell links and no gov sites will ever sell links

Before you start emailing them out and wasting your time, you want to make sure that your site would serve as a great reference. If you're thinking that you'll just send a bunch of emails out and get lucky...think again.

You can start by typing ".edu" and ".gov" into Google and go from there

No interest in buying links. (at least not yet...)

Azfar, I looked at your site, and I still don't understand it.

Axlarry: nice tips. Tell me about my space. I have not thought of that. If I have small art business lets say, I would put some content on the my space etc about the business, and ask people to take my .com and put a link on their site?

Any worries though you may have lot links in bad neighborhoods?

I would not even entertain this except for fact that after Google, I seem to be getting a lot of my space activity, from where and whom there I have no idea. talk to me more about myspace

can you control myspace? what if you don't like what someone adds to you page?

Edu and gov links do not have any more worth then any other extension. If you have a link in some students blog that has as much worth as if it was in a blogger blog. The reason why edu's are seen as authority links are because of the type of sites that typically have them. If you have law related site and get a link in Harvard Laws site that is a huge link. Having a students page at Bumfuck Community College is not worth anything.

The fast and better way to get free .edu high PR backlinks is by finding the highest PR .edu blogs through certain codes that you put in your Google searches...

Just check my sig. and be sure to check the reviews from DP members...

SEOdir are you charging money to give out someone else's URL? Also the .gov site that points to you in Yahoo Explorer is being heavily spammed.

IMHO links .edu or .gov are strong only for their high pagerank and trust rank
