^^ As the title says. I just found a way to search for linking sources on .edu links via Google, and most of them are do-follow. Are .edu links really that special? Or am I better off linking from sites that relate to my niche? I'm not that worried about being called out for spam on .edu stuff. I can blend into these sites no problem.
EDU and GOV links, from my understanding, are a bit of a booster when it comes to ranking, mainly for the fact that sites with these domains will generally mean that your site is a powerful authority within your chosen keywords. Personally, I don't go hunting for these backlink types, however I have seen alot of websites that have literally thousands of these backlinks, and ranking quite low.
Good to know, cuz it can't be this simple: inurl:.edu inurl:viewtopic.php Code (markup): 2 million+ backlink sources. DUH!
yes ...Google give it high link love cause it very hard to spam them type of site so they are more trusted
