Just finished a very tiring process of building an email list of various student .edu sites. Gathered together a list of over 200 emails and sent out link requests to them offering them free service exchange for a link to my site. So far it is too early to tell the success rate as I have only received 6 responses back in the first day. Hopefuly it will pay off! Anybody else had success with .edu link building?
Well, that's an interesting way to do it.. Do you know what % of schools actually give students webspace on the EDU? I've been asking around and I haven't found to many.
Interesting idea ! I know my brother has webspace provided by his college, I'm sure a lot of other schools would have similar.
I really don't know but I do know that many schools strictly prohibit commercial links on their students sites for exactly this reason. They don't want the student to find a way to make a buck.
It's called a 'Case Study' ... "A Study of X -- Because it's the best".. Add lots of long paragraphs and links or citations.. Whatever you think is best.
I am trying to get .edu links by posting on .edu forums. You can find those by searching google, i also made a list here http://www.sourcer.org/?p=18
