I just had a thought and wanted to get some feedback from you.

I was thinking of paying some kid in university to use their web space to put up a directory. Maybe someone who is pursuing their doctoral degree, they could be there for 7 years or more.

Would you be interested in having your link (links) in this directory? Would you pay money for it, and if so how much?

    Cheers.

Its depend on that too like how much work he will do to promote this kind of services. Maybe 70$ to 140$ will work for per listings....

Student pages are almost always orphan pages which have no value. edu links have no more value than any other link - it's just that their regular pages usually have more trust from quality links. That trust does not pass at all to an orphan page. The value of link would be next to nothing, but combined with the risk of the page being deleted would just further reduce the value.
