.edu backlinks

    hey all. does anyone know why a .k12.nj.us backlink does not show up as a .edu or .gov backlink? i know it doesnt have those extensions but it is a highschool website. so it is both and edu and a gov lol thoughts?

    Why would it show .moon when the domain is .com?

    It's because the website is registered using .us extention. It will never be translated as .edu or .gov domain by search engine, even if it used as school or governmental website. Google is not that smart :D

    well thats not really what im asking....might have misspoke ....i guess what im asking is if a .k12.nj.us backlink gives similar strength as a .edu or .gov

    .edu and .gov have no more weight then an .info or some .cn domain.

    Because they are. .edu, .ac.uk, .gov are very good baclinks to have.
