Editing the Website Navigational Column

I am new to website design/development. I have an existing php website.

    1. How can I add a navigational text link within the left-hand column on all my website pages?
    2. How do I extend the navigational text link column so that my text links do not extend beyond the column?
    3. Which ftp folder/file do I need to locate to make these edits?

    Thank you

I appreciate your help but I am not sure that I understand what you are looking for. This forum doesn't allow for me to post website addresses. Please place http: before strongfamilies.us and this is the website address. If there is some other info that you would like from me, please be more specific. Thanks.

    1. Not quite sure what you mean; do you want to add an extra navigation menu to the left hand side, add an extra link to the column you already have, or do you want the links to extend to give an extra set of links (like if you click forums ontop of this page an extra menu comes out)?
If you want the menu to appear on all your web pages then simply put the menu code into a seperate .php file and use the code <?php include("path/filename.php") ?> wherever you want the menu, then if you want to change a link on the menu it will change for all pages rather than just the one.

    2. Not sure what you mean again, do you want to extend the graphic so that your menu names appear on one line?

    3. And again, not sure. It depends on your hosting company, but it's usually in the public_html folder.

Not much help, but if you give more details i'm sure i can be more helpful.
