    Hi All:

I have recently modified the dates associated with a few blog posts; I am wondering if doing so has any serious repercussions e.g. a g00gle penalty? Any insight appreciated.

If the date is in the URL (permalinks or in some other way) then you will have to wait for Google to drop the old page and re-index it at the new location, in my experience this has taken between 1 and 2 weeks.

If the date is just in the text of the page I would be very surprised if Google really cared that you had changed it.

    Thanks for your input.

Just want to add that I use blogger with my own URL and blog files are stored on my own server.
