Editing stylesheet

When I went into my FTP client to edit the stylesheet, it opened it in dreamweaver. Is there any other program I can use to edit the stylesheet in? If so, how would I make that the default program to open it in next time?

well, I suppose that all depends on what Operating system and Desktop Environment you are using doesn't it?

But since you don't know how to do it I have to assume it's a pretty unintuitive and old operating system - windows isn't it?

There should be an option buried somewhere, it's been so long since Microsoft has had a competitive operating system I'm not sure if it was under right-click > properties or where.

What else you could do, instead of editing the live file from the FTP, is download the file, and open the program you wish to edit the file in, and open the .css document from that program's Open dialog. Then simply reupload the file when you've made your changes and you're off to the races.

    Google is also your friend!

Thanks, I don't think windows vista is old :p

When I right click on stylesheet, I get the following options
    - View/edit
    - create directory
    - Delete
    - Rename
    - File attributes

Thank you. I will let you know if it works!

Also, as CSS style sheet, without needing to use dreamweaver, you can easily just use good ol' standard Notepad or Wordpad.

Vista may be the current release, but I'm used to Linux where new versions are released every 6 months. So Vista's quite a few behind.

And yes, although it may be the current Microsoft release, the paradigms is uses are not current, and are actually quite unintuitive.
