    Hey DP..

On one of my domains...my hosting uses Plesk...

Plesk doesn't seem to want to allow me permission to edit my .htaccess file...

And when logging onto my site with an FTP client it doesn't show the .htaccess folder at all.. so I can't change the permissions

    :(

    Anyone?

    Peace

    Jay

If you're using Filezilla, look at the top for 'Server', click it, then select 'Force show hidden files'

I'm typing from memory so the text may be different

For all platforms the default setting for htaccess file is 'hidden'. As suggested by steupz change the attribute to 'show hidden files'

you can use few ftp clients for changing file permissions ;) ( such leechftp , etc apps)

i used plesk few days back and really it has some irritating features when compared to cpanel

just change fileperms and reupload thats fine

btw how to unzip files in plesk ?
