Editing iTunes Music Files?

    Hi,

I need to edit the iTunes format (.m4a I think it is...) and remove a few bad words from the song before it can be used at the dance I'm hosting next week at our community center: can these files be edited? Is there any "hack" that could do this? (Just block out a couple seconds of sound)

    Thanks,
    -Matt

Not to my knowledge. I think the best you can do is convert to WAV, edit that way, then recompress to mp3 or m4a. I'm not aware of any audio editing application that does edit any compressed audio without converting to WAV first. I'm no expert, but my wife runs a DJ company, so this is something I spent a little time researching.
