    below the line <meta name="generator" content="WordPress <?php bloginfo('version'); ?>" /> <!-- leave this for stats -->

    put:
    <meta name="description" content="*your description here" />
    <meta name="keywords" content="*keyword1,keyword2,etc"/>

    notice that most search engines just do not take into consideration meta keywords anymore, but it wont harm either
