Editing, Creating, Designing Wordpress Themes w/ Dreamweaver

Hello my peeps, I have created this post because I can't get my head round css layouts. So I went and purchased dreamweaver thinking that it would help me in my quest to learn how to either edit existing wordpress themes or create my own.

Well I have had the darnedest time trying to create a 3column layout
which is supposed to be fairly difficult which I didn't understand at first, because if the two column is easy then it should be cake to just to add another column.

However I quickly learned how naive I was. Anyway, I have a $200 program that needs to be put to use, so please if you can link me to a tutorial that didn't pop up in google because I have looked at everything I could possibly google during the last 3 weeks. I have neglected my ebay business because I could not get away from this quest which has turned into an obsession.

My wife is starting to feel neglected, please tell me how to edit, create, or design my own wordpress theme so I can move on with my life. Thank you kindly.

I have fiddled with it for a few hours, and my blog is blank when I use their template, I don't know what the problem is but, I got distracted from my original dreamweaver request.
