    It seems like every year, a few stars make the news by falling off a stage or otherwise getting hurt performing. Sometimes it is because they are impaired by drugs or alcohol, but not always.

    Many, many years ago I was a professional studio musician (not rock) and it was always interesting to see musical acts that (I would be a local backup musician for) come in to a venue and then "fit" their performance and props into the widely varying platforms that each venue offered. The performers had to modify their choreography to make everything work and it is a difficult thing to do as they travel from place to place every few days. It is actually surprising that more of them do not get hurt.
