I use Tribalfusion and Casalemedia on one of my sites. Initially I had only 2 ads per page. I was making almost $3 eCPM, but then when I bumped up to 3 ads, the eCPM slowly died down and now its around $1.50 and is reducing. This is bothering me. I expect to get more eCPM and not a reduction, how is thing working, it has left me baffled. May be I am doing something wrong. I get more traffic then I used to get in previous month, yet my earnings are down as I am now getting more defaults. Not sure what to do to reduce the defaults. Do you guys have any tips on improving the eCPM?
Have you tried reducing your ads to 2 again and see if that helps. It could also be because of the new year. It's the month after Christmas meaning that advertisers are probably buying less as there is no shopping rush for products.
I agree with you that there are less advertisers due to after-holiday season effect. However, the revenue is also dropping since the beginning of this month which is puzzling me. Today I have reduced back to few ads to see how they perform. I guess one has to experiment till you get right settings! Its a learning experience but it would be helpful if someone who has gone through this path may shed some light
