So lets say I want to analyze the effect of banner views on conversions in google adwords, or the effect of print advertising on direct to site conversions. I would have to do econometric analysis. Does anyone here have any experience in doing this type of analysis? What tools do non Fortune 500 companies use (it would be especially good if you know something that would play nice with Omniture)?
Thanks for your replies, since google doesnt have access to your offline or display budget it would be hard to do so. There have been several studies that show this effect but since every business is different it is really up to each company to do this kind of analysis. I know many marketers use SPSS or SAS but I wondered if there are any online providers who have thought of this in light of web analytics. It would be an extremely helpful product..
