ecommerce store and a blog strategy

    i have a strategy I want to use to grow an ecommerce store sales over time..

    i want to use a blog to write about the ecommerce store products.

    question is, should I put the blog in the root level domain and make it the main entry page and put the ecommerce store in a subfolder? www.widgetssale.com/ecommercestore/

    or should I put the ecommerce store in the main root level and the blog in the subfolder?

    or doesnt it matter?

    I idea here is to try to distribute page rank most effectively.

    I recomend you the ecommerce store to be on the root folder.
    If somebody will see a blog maybe will leave from your site
