    Hi,
I am trying to get my ecommerce ready to launch, I will be listing maybe 1000+ items on it, the problem is I am copying and pasting the item descriptions from my suppler, so this will be duplicate content, would i need to go and change each item description( this will take along time) of does it matter, will google penalise me for this. or if i want to to get a high google ranking do i need to be different
    thanks
    paul

I'm pretty much sure duplicate descriptions won't be an issue at all.
A few backlinks and a good CMS will rank well in Google.

I don't think you should change the descriptions

but you should add your own original product review content
