So I finished creating our website - it truly was done in the best way I could possibly do it - there are still many changes I must make. Anyway we've been getting some traffic, lots of impressions, but ZERO conversions. Can someone please help me with any suggestions as to what we can do help our conversion rates.

Well, first of all, how do you promote it? You should promote the site on social media, in forums, and even outside the internet. Also know who your target audience is. Knowing who your products are for will help in getting the right people to your site. Getting traffic is good, but if they're not the right target, they won't show interest. Creating the ad that will get people to the site would get that sale.

You might have targeted wrong keywords or targeting methods. Do proper keyword research, choose the right target market.

Start doing Social Media Marketing Like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. You can also take a benefit of paid services. Target proper Keywords, and make your website SEO Friendly.

These points are more than likely part of your issue. Traffic isn't valuble in and of itself. It's only valuable from a business perspective if those visitors convert, of course, but also it's not necessarily good for SEO either if you have a high bounce rate (i.e. visitors leave your site immediately).
Assuming you stock quality products, another consideration could be the design of the site itself. Is it fast and easy to navigate, so visitors can find what they're looking for easily? Are the category and product pages well-written and informative? Do you have positive reviews? All of these things can affect your conversion rate, so it's difficult to pinpoint one area! Perhaps you could give us some more details on the status of your estore, so we can narrow it down a little?

You are bringing traffic is good. Now convert them is as you said most important. In the initial face of a website, there are few things which can boost your traffic. First and most important is competitive pricing. Like if people can get same thing at same price from Amazon then they will go for Amazon instead of a newbie. The second things is to look at information you provide about products. You need to do survey in friends and family members as how they rate you. During the customer journey what they found missing or faced dilemma. The third is offline marketing as mentioned above. You can spend a bit on events in targeted area and generate a buzz around your business. That will also help you in conversion.

This problem can be due to a lot of factors... It could be bad or insufficient promotion strategies, poor content, or wrong traffic. So make sure you are doing promotion and advertising the right way and in the right place, and always provide quality content to your audience.

Hi anna-kaci, You won't get conversions right after you have launched your e-commerce website. Your visitors don't know who you are and they don't trust you. They need time. You should keep on promoting your new website to the right audience to build awareness about your new website. It will take time. And use an email newsletter plugin and web push notification on your website to convert visitors into subscribers. Subscribers are your future customers. So you can send your latest promos and offers to your subscribers daily. This you will start seeing conversions. Also, ask your customers to review your products on your website.
Don't expect results overnight. It takes time.

A lot of people have mentioned promoting through social media and content marketing, but you may also want to experiment with A/B testing. Perhaps the design or layout of certain elements on your site is turning away customers. Sometimes small tweaks can make a major difference! If you have any sort of analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, I'd take advantage of that and see where people are dropping off on your site.

I second this, great points. You can also use services such as Crazy Egg or Smartsupp to record visitor actions and look at heatmaps. These can be priceless in determining customer behavior and pain points.
