is there anywhere on the web i can find info about designing a product detail page. We have prodcuts with allot of options. ive searched all over but cant find any. maybe a place that just shows some examples?
My best suggestion is to browse other sites that have product layout pages and try and figure out what aspects of them you like. It is very similar to shopping for aspects of a new web design. Something you should check out in regards to this is JQuery. It handles some very nice popup boxes (for details, pricing etc.) without leaving the page. It is very quick and can also allow you to add more results.
An e-commerce site product pages are that site lifeblood. These are the pages that spotlight products and offer shoppers a buy button — they're a site's payoff pages. Indeed, the primary struggle of every e-tailer is driving shoppers to their product pages, and then convincing those shoppers to commit to a purchase. All the ad dollars a merchant spends, all the search engine keyword buys, the fancy homepage, it all comes down to that moment when a shopper lands on their product page and considers entering their credit card number...
thank you all for you help. Ive spent a long time analyzing other sites. But im trying to know why they did certain things. Was there testing behind it, what works what doesnt. Should we make the pictures in a pop up frame or a role over button? oll these kind of questions, does anyone know were i can read about it?
