    Hi,
I want to start a drop shipping business.I found a reliable dropshipper an i'm working on my website now.
The problem is: my dad has a construction company(carpentry, painting etc) and i would like to do everything as his company. Now, i don't know if i can do this.He gave me his permision and opened a business account that i can use.My question is: does he need more than a seller permit for me to do this.I want to sell kitchen faucets and we live in IL.
    Can anyone help me, please?Thanks!

I would seriously consider doing something in your own name - in case something goes wrong (with either business). This could put you or your father in a world of hurt.

But if you still want to, you should have him talk to his attorney to make sure everything is in order and it is OK.

I' not sure I understand. What do yu mean by "in your own name"?It will be my dad's business name: xxxxxx, Inc.It will be a business that does construction and sells construction materials online. In the future we want to sell more than faucets

Uhh I dont think you need a seller permit for an internet store. I bet 90% of online sellers dont have one if you do need one.

Gotcha - I did not know it would be similar until you said that in your second post. Rules vary from state to state, county to county, and city to city. You might want to review everything with his attorney to make sure your site is in compliance

I know in CA you need a sellers permit so that you can buy goods to resale w/out paying tax. That alone is a good advantage and it's free :D

The lawyers are crazy. One of them says you can't get a selling permit for a construction company(it's INC.) and the other says of course you can,you don't need another company just to sell things. What should i do now?

Start a relationship with one - and that way he / she protects you in case something happens

May be better to get Premier account instead of Business until your Business entity issues are sorted out.:)

But how do we pay the taxes?
Probably we will start another "incorporated" or "LLC".But that will take some time and I want to start selling right away.
