Hi all, I've just turned 17 and would love to get into some kind of online business such as ecommerce. I'm very good with photoshop so can design a website and should be able to create a simple ecommerce site without too many problems. I just have a few questions which are really holding me back in setting this up and am finding it hard to get answers because of my age. I have no idea yet of anything to do with the legalities of opening a store and whether I need to have insurance or anything like that. I know to be a business I may have to register as self employed within the first 3 months of trading (or so I have heard) but am not 100% positive if this is compulsary. I'm in the UK if that helps (England). I know places to source wholesale stock so I guess the only thing holding me back is worrying about things going wrong etc. I have sold a bit through ebay but the competition is just too fierce with people selling things dirt cheap and in large quantities. It's a real struggle to make a nice profit or to build something up on ebay. I'd love to really work on a site and slowly build it up, I just lack the knowledge about the legal side of things to get it all started. I'd ideally like to start small and get a website done (which as I say, I think I can do myself for starters) and be confident enough to know what to do about the legal side of things. Just incase anything does happen. Thankyou so much in advance for any help. If you find emails or msn any easier then my address for both is: Best Regards, Sam
