I have decided to start up an E-commerce small business can anyone tell me what are the steps do I need to follow?
Do you have any product you want to sell or are you trying to drop-shipping? And what type of budget you have?
As has been mentioned earlier, it will depend on - 1. What type of business products or services you will be selling. 2. The targeted customers. 3. Popularity of the product or service which you are selling through your ecommerce site. 4. The price you are willing to pay for it. Also some steps need to be taken to include features that are necessary in ecommerce sites like - a. A secured payment gateway to protect your customers. b. A shopping cart if its relevant for your product.
Basically like an offline business as well: Get a (variety of) product/s. Display it nicely. Talk about the fact that you sell products. So if you already have products and suppliers, maybe try it via ebay first which would be the easiest way to go.
E Commerce is the best online shopping store...It has become an every day task. Billions are spent every year on almost everything you can think of. It’s not only physical goods that are sold through the internet, everyday services are also part of e commerce.
As the name implies, e-commerce starts with products. If you have them in hand, bring them on your website and sell them. You will be needing an ecommerce site having: 1- product categories, 2- Product Descriptions, 3- Shopping Cart (Shipping Module, Payment Integration) and all that is jazz!
Plan accordingly for the ecommerce site and research on some blogs make you to understand the process.
The mere thought of setting up an E commerce business is an excellent idea and I would say this is the right time for you to put your thought into action. E commerce is on the rise these days, since people are more into online shopping in this modern era, due to shortage of time, rather than visiting each shop physically. There are several points you need to keep in mind, before you finally dive into the pool of E commerce: 1) Whether the product or service you are planning to sell through E commerce will attract enough customers online. 2) The type of customers you wish to target at to sell your products or services. 3) Your budget in investing in this business venture. 4) Choosing the safest and assorted modes of payment for the benefit of your online customers. 5) The competition in the world of E commerce as far as your product is concerned. You also need a good shopping cart software for your customers. You can try out cart2mobile, since I have used it for my business and find it extremely useful. It has all the features you may find useful for your business. Check it and do tell me if you liked the software or not.
