hi, have any body seen how google ads on www.ebuddy.com , keeps refreshing and showing relevent ads? i checked their code but didnt quite understand does any body know how they did it?
they are not google ads They are image ads based on cpm and lemme tell ya that website is cheating on advertisers by refreshing the ads something like every 5 secs, i dunno why those companies will pay them
actually these are google ads, and they didn't reload every 5 sec when I visited the site, in fact they rotate only on page reload or when you click thru to a different page.
@smiley...: is that legal? can anyone do it? because you know it seems cool, many ads are being viewed at the same time so the idea is loading all 3 ads, and rotating the ad so one is visible?
I guess this depends on the way you do it. If you just reload your webpage every 5 sec simply to increase the impressions and bark the money off your advertisers, then I'd say this is illigal. If you have, say a news blog or website that's often updated you can set the page to reload every 5 or 10 minutes to check if there's a new story (techcrunch does it this way) and rotate ads on reload, but I would mention this in the advertising terms.
