Ebooks for Marketing?

I might be making a new site, and I need to do a little bit of research beforehand to make sure it would be worthwhile for the users (ie, webmasters)

So, have you ever given away an ebook (free) to advertise your website or affiliate link?

Please vote honestly.

 

Oh hell no. There are way too many moochers out there.

I will, however, give them free tips, samples, and from there they can decide whether or not to buy the e-book.

 

Yes, but if you're releasing an ebook for free, then you can add your link(s) into it and hope loads of people read it, hence getting more traffic to your site or link(s). If you try and sell it then less people will read it because they had to pay for it, so therefore getting less coverage of your link(s).

It was an 'how to begin as an affiliate marketer'. And it was
a $9.95 product. I sold a lot of copys.

 

So you sold it or gave it away for free? Because I'm looking for people who give them away freely
