Hey everyone, I'm new and I'm not exactly sure where to put this. I'm working on an ebook. I hear people saying 'make sure you build a list when you sell it,' but I'm not sure exactly what this means. How do I go about building a list exactly? Any help is appreciated!

Building a list refers to setting up an email list and getting subscribers. If you manage to get lots of people to sign up for a free newsletter and you get their email addresses, you can send a single email that will go to all of them. In it you can give them good, helpful information and put in your product link. Not everyone buys something when they first go to a website, so reminding them of the product with an email will help you make more money. To start building a list, go to aweber.com and sign up. Then you can put the html code on your website to make the "subscribe" form. You can then write the emails that will be sent out to your subscribers.

A good method is giving something for free. It usually works with ppc traffic. For example you can write an ebook and give it away after someone subscribes to your list.
With aweber or any other professional autoresponder you can create email series that's scheduled to be delivered every few days. And let's say at the end of the series after giving away lots of valuable content, you promote your paid ebook. This is very powerful and you can automate it completely.
