It seems as though Adwords is gone pretty hard on the ebook websites, yet people still advertise. Any hints for advertising ebooks via Adwords? Ive been away for 6 weeks and it seems as though the world has changed a lot...

its much harder to directly promote ebooks, but there are ways around it

content networks seems to be very forgiving for ebook sites.

if you still want search network then try going around it by first getting an email lead, then selling the ebook via an email or link in an email to the main ebook site

    example

    PPC landing page says

learn the secret to "enter what your ebook does"

submit your email to learn more

then when they give out there email to you, you then respond with an upsale on your ebook

no there is nothing wrong with lead gen forms... there are lots of sites that just have lead forms...

check out listings for mortgage rates and dating... they are simply lead form sites

My advice is if you want to promote a Clickbank ebook or something similar, Create a landing page (presell) page, have the relevant keywords in the title of the landing page as well as the body. That will improve your Quality socre

There are still plenty of basic ebook sites that have escaped Google's wrath.

I think there is no dount though that AdWords is forcing site owners to build "content rich" sites with provision of relevant free content to maximize the user's experience.

The end of the 'one pager' AdWords sites could be fast approaching.
