Hi, I have lots of ebooks & scripts with resell rights with me. I am planning to create a site where in a member can login (maybe after paying some money or some other way) and download all the contents or buying individual ebooks/scripts. The download files will be kept in some fileserver, as most of the shared hosting service providers don't want to use their hosting as file servers. Only the link for download will be put in here.. (In short I need to build a site like most of the ebooks store, but with little difference as mentioned above). Please can any one let me know if there are any php scripts/demo available for this ? I am ready to puchase it, if satisfied.
first: sites like this are all around second: do you have legal copies with rights to sell them / offer them in membership sites? be aware of the consequences if you don't
You can find simple "download store" scripts on eBay, you can even get them with your "master reseller packages". I'm not sure about the security about these scripts though .
i did purchase one of those scripts, but when I installed in, it asks for setting some global parameter to "ON", which as per my hosting service provider will be harmful, even though they are ready to set it on.
another way would be getting a file hosting account via http://www.tradebit.com you could upload your files and then create a "group" which could be your membership area. everything you need to do can be done from this one site.
