Hey guys, I am getting ready to roll out an eBook I have been working on for some time (it's my first), and I need clarification on a few things. (a) What should the price point be? I have heard mixed things. I have never sold an eBook before, however I do know that too high of a price and people won't buy, and too low of a price people won't think it is worth anything. This eBook is 20 pages long, and all of that is solid information (no fillers). Without revealing what it is about, it is designed for newbies and it covers every aspect of a specific subject, from starting out to dominating. Which leads me to my next question: (b) Where should I sell the eBook? I am going to be running a "pre-sale" here on DP (at a discounted rate) to make sure people like it. After that I am going to add it to my internet marketing firms site, under something like "learning materials". Other than that though, where else should I sell? Thanks in advance!
(a) What should the price point be? The pricing is depend on market force, but you can try this way,the 1st batch which consist of 10 ebook will be sold at $20 but the next batch 10 ebook will be sold at $40.This will make your sales easy. (b) Where should I sell the eBook? The key is sell at as many place as you can such as DP,warrior forum etc.
(a) What should the price point be? It depends the value of your book and how well you marketed the book before launched. If your book is different from those garbage ebooks then you have a good chance to sell them with a good price. SEOBook was an example of a good book that peoples, including me, bought it without a doubt on its price ($79). (b) Where should I sell the eBook? You should sell it through well known affiliate network and Clickbank is a good answer for digital type product like ebook. If your book can create a buzz itself then you would got a massive order within a few days.
I think the pricing will depend on the subject, and how saturated the ebook market for your topic. I'm in a similar position right now, and someone pointed me to the e-junkies website. Check it out if you haven't already, it looks much more promising (and cheaper) than clickbank.
Hi. I think you should NEVER give away a product and expect people to give you the magic number after reviewing it - typically the people you've given it to would never have been your customers in reality anyways, so whatever data they give you is useless. Having said that price is usually the biggest thing affecting conversions, so the only thing you can do is test. Try out a few prices and see which one the market wants to pay. Anything ending in 9 or 7 typically converts better. That's why $17.. $19... and even $97 are all so common in ebooks
