Aloha, How are the legal issues concerning pictures in ebooks? Situation A: I have a site about a popular brand that produces all kinds of items. I'm planning to create a free ebook about hundreds of these items and will of course prefer to add pictures of the items. There are already lots of similar pictures of my site, but the big question is if I'm going to get in trouble for showing them in an ebook? Situation B: I also have a site where people can upload their own pictures. Can I add those to an ebook and publish it for free? I guess situation B is ok, since I have already written that pictures uploaded might be used for marketing and promotion of my website. Thank you, Mads
If you took/created the pictures in Situation A, you should be alright... I think situation B depends on whether or not they gave you the right to use the pics. IANAL.
