Hi all, I'm wondering if any ebooks or websites exist on this topic? If not, what are the views of members - will there be demand for such an ebook and will people pay for it?
ya...there are like lots of books..and mostly free. go to any online money making guide site, and u may find the ebook for subscribing the newsletter for free.
Just go to the Warrior Forum. They buy, sell and trade tons of snake oil ebooks on that topic. Most offer very little information of value but make the authors a tidy sum. Just get a few fellow writers to lie gush about how great your book is and you'll be on your way.
Yup very true - i'd say unless you have a particularly unique angle on the writing game don't even bother with this as a book.
As a member of WF, I find that remark a tad distasteful, although, I must admit, not completely inaccurate. The issue is that WF is a place for DM fans and the local culture reflects that. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but for outsiders is might look a bit over the top. As for the original OP, here's a list of guidelines that should help out: - practice your trade as often as you can - don't expect a fee bump once you get better at it, from your existing customer pool anyway - in order to advance in your career, be ready to switch to another, more specialized sub-niche - credibility is the most important asset you can have in the online environment. Maintain it, cultivate it and guard it. - try to build a network of contacts with other freelancers (not necessarily writers). Most of the good gigs are never made public. Hope this helps. Best regards, George Cozma
Looks for this ebook entitled Write and Make Money: Cash In On Your Words Today". I like it a lot. It's an 18-page PDF containing some articles to help you to make money online.
I don't think that people would buy such a book. If you want to get started in writing yourself, here's all you need to know in a nutshell: Write quality articles (read many blogs on the niche you're writing on to get a sense of the best style), provide good payment terms for the buyers (send articles before payment, solve any problems quickly, reply quickly) and keep a list of regular buyers - it's much easier to sell to those who already know you. That's it! You can sell on Digital Point, Netbuilders, Associated Content and other sites (search on Google). If you get tired, save up some money and outsource
