I know this may sound a bit odd but I think it could work. I've been writing an ebook which I think will benefit people enormously in my field. And, i've been learning that the best way to use an ebook is to give it free to promote a product. Since i don't have a product, I'm wondering if this will work: I give the ebook free and tell people that if they my advice was so helpful that they feel that I should be rewarded for what i brought to them, they can pay me....What i'd be hoping for is that they would feel indebted to me. Part of me thinks this is a brilliant idea while the other part finds it silly. Nothing like a bit of ambivalence. Please let me know what you think of this idea.
You should be happy if you were to receive 'Thank you' from your readers.. but it still depends on your niche and to what degree have you helped them. Most readers will forget about you when they have found the solution. I would suggest you to have a more technical version of your eBook. Again, this would depend on your niche. For example, give them ideas on the solution but not the exact how-to. If they still couldn't catch the idea, they can choose to purchase the detailed solution package (depends on how you market) from you. You are still doing a kind favor Good luck!
I don't know too much about affiliate marketing. How much would that cost me to squeeze a couple of links in there if i provided the book free?
nothing....except if you promote sites that promote your ebook, theres a mutual benefit ... I'll do it, you can use my tool the craigslist mail haverster to get your target marketing working just select the cities and the book category and you get people that would read your ebook!
