Ebook market

    How is the Ebook market right now ?? Is it a good idea for me to start writing one and try to sell it on dedicated website ?? I think about an Ebook on Poker Strategies or SEO. What do you think about that ?

    the ebook market is very good just look at the BST section in this forum lol

    you can also have people market it for you and pay them a percent for every sale

    so basically set up an affiliate program and try to make it go viral = lots of $$$

    Yeah you could make money with it but you will need a fair bit of promotion to get some good sales.

    IMO,its ebook market is already saturated and its not worth to venture into it especially by writing a ebook.
    If you want to sell ebook its sound lot better and the profit is much more higher than writing ebook yourself.
    You can buy some ebook that come with master resell right and sell it at your website.

    There is so many ebooks, and content coping is prevalent. Online spending is down too.

    Simply put...ebooks can work. If you are an authority in a niche and you are the only one selling your ebook, people will buy. Another eason people will buy is if you are the only place they can get the information. Authority can be gained by blogging in your niche and being the sole source can come from actually writing your book. However, some niches have more ebook consumers than other ones. I sell 4 ebooks now and often get requests for print books. I don't really want to get into that because I hate packaging and mailing books, perhaps I will do the "Aiming at Amazon" approach.

    When I added ebook sales my average has been to make almost 3 times what I make from adsense in ebook sales. In short, if you thinking about it...go ahead and do it...it costs little to try...

    main thing to make money selling ebooks, and for that matter anything, is you must be good in promoting your wares. If not, no matter how good is your stuff, few will buy.

    I agree, promotion is the key to online sales of ebooks or anything else. From my persepctive, as an online writer, the more specific your niche, the better your chances of success. Choosing between poke and SEO, I'd definitely go with the poker as SEO or anything else in the Internet Marketing arena is way too competitve. Even with poker I'd get more specific such as as specific type of the game. If your advertising budget is limited there are several ways to market online without spending a bundle. Most of these methods do take some time to bring results, so don't give up the first month.
