    adobe, you simply write it in word then convert it and add contents if you like.

    You could create your ebook with Open Office.org and then print to PDF to get the same results as using microsoft office / adobe software, only Open Office is open source and 100% free.

    You could also create your PDF using Word or WordPerfect and then install the pdf995 printer on your computer- also free, and you get to use your favorite office app to write your ebook if Open Office is not to your liking.
