    That's 1%-3%.
    That's bloody fantastic!!! That's 10-30 sales in 1000 visits.
You need to scale that down a bit. If it keeps going like this it ultimately means 100-300 sales in 10000 visits
You'll pay for the traffic close to $10k if you end up paying $1/visit but earn $19 per book which means: $19k-$57k.

Something's wrong with these figures. :) Try some other figures for the conversion.

    On Topic.
Dude- first you have to get your hands dirty and invest some money. You'll eventually lose that so don't be a high roller.
See what went wrong and improve your technique.

Also, who in his right mind would give away his converting keywords?

very well said. Testing is the key to making money not asking on forums for the converting keywords. You'll get much further with a $50 on testing something than you will paying $50 for "converting" keywords...

It comes down to the quality of your landing page (reviews, pictures, videos, proofs will increase the conversion rate). Your ad campaign may be whatever it is, but the people coming to your website through it will obviously be interested in what the campaign had to say. I say, get a killer landing page. Then start increasing your CTR and lowering your advertising costs with the weaker keywords.

Its something that is impossible to put exact figure on other than talk about general numbers or from people who are very experienced with having many sites selling many different ebooks. Its not an exact science as your talking about the spending behaviour of humans - the most complex creatures in the universe.......

Ive found personally Unless the traffic is extremely well targeted OR you have to have a very unique product in demand then the conversions are going very very low im afraid. Its hard to put a figure on it as every product is going to different but it could be as low 1-5 sales per 1000 visitors or as high 10 sales per 100 depends where they are coming from.

PPC is probably not the best way to go unless you have low competition or low cost for your ppc keywords or the price/profit of every ebook product sale would have to be very high to achieve positive ROI with low converisons.

It was a smart idea to test it first before investing too much money but you would need more to do more work before you could not come to any sound decision based on 400 visitors as its is not much to go on - 400 what? 400 hits, 400 uniques? as there is a fair bit of difference in what that means.

You need to be more precise with your visitor tracking behaviour once they are on your site for a start. Experiment with different sources and see what is the most effective - its a constant trial and error process with analysing and tweaking which can get expensive unless you really find that high converting traffic that is low cost.

Much of that is completely variable, and to even begin to get an estimate of those figures I would need a lot more data than that to work with. For example there is no way of even selecting a keyword without knowing what the website would be about. Although I would recommend testing a number of different keyword combinations and having a lot of content. But that's pretty general information as well. :)

Just go to clickbankdotcom and search through the many examples. You can search by category. Those are the best examples you will see of information products targeted to a specific niche.
