The bottom tier pays $25 each time someone you sent signs up for the first time and places a bid on ebay.

    Yes no problem.

    Commissions $215.75
    Sale Amount $250.26
    Sales 114
    Leads 10
    Clicks 3458
    CR 3.59%
    EPC $6.23

This is from 2 or 3 eBay API software applications I have created. There is no 'niche' as such, it's generally bargain hunters that use the software. Most of my income online comes from sales of software but it's nice to see these sales coming in every month without any promotion at all ;) Income varies between $180 and $400 per month, with October, November, December particularly good.

With my new eBay ads service, I expect to be making a lot more with CJ very soon!

Thanks! I think with software tools they are more likely to bid/buy because they are already using the software to find what they want. I'm sure with some decent promotion those figures would be much higher. I think most of it has come from people sharing the software with each other as I haven't seen a lot of download traffic

I'm concentrating on launch my new ads service now though. From some of the posts I've seen lately there are a lot of people looking for a new way to advertise with CJ/eBay. If you want to give it a try Shaun, I'll give you a free upgrade to a 'Pro' account, see sig to sign up. ;)

You're welcome! I haven't seen the problem personally as I'm not a member. All the items in my ads are live auctions, there is no caching, it's a new API search every time. (It's done with Javascript, nothing to install just paste the code in your site). So you know you will get the results you want. You can customize all the colors too to match your site. There are some new features I've just added:

    Minimum and maximum price filter
Search by zip/postal code (like this: http://easyadslive.com/local.php)
Show a single seller's items - including store option. Imagine selling ad space on your site to powersellers!
Digital delivery only - to just show ebooks and software

Everything is done through CJ and it works with 14 sites including motors. Here's some more examples: http://easyadslive.com/examples

I want to add more features including 'mini-site' content as the membership grows. I want this to be the absolute best eBay ads service available so I'm really listening to what the members want and delivering it!

Feel free to try out the ad builder software here: http://easyadslive.com/EasyAdBuilderv2.exe

BTW it won't make ads with your PID unless you're a member

Well. here's my results so far...
Usually, when I was using AA (before it went into the toilet) i would get at least 100 clicks per day and anywhere from $10-$30/day..
In 2 days with the CJ/eBay i've gotten 3 clicks...

I think the problem might be that with AA i could blend the ads, but using the eBay builder thingy, I can't really blend them at all.. is there a way to customize the ads to match my site's colors?

Blending is probably the biggest challenge if you're using eBay on CJ. The affiliate manager should invest a little money in making a better builder program that will allow us to do more things with the ads and customize them better. As far as I can tell, AuctionAds was really just a third-party that was doing just that. The CJ program could offer everything AA offers and so much more, but instead they've got an ad builder that hasn't been updated in 3 years.

There are settings in there for various colors - border, text, background, links, etc. + the theme for the ad headers.

I see a bit of a problem though with the relevance of the ads - I tried just using categories, but the products are less appropriate on my site.

I'm going to try categories + keywords.

EBay makes you sort by either price or auction end date which leaves the ads pretty static, whereas AA rotates ads much more frequently. I think I'm going to try to rotate price ranges into the ads and sort by price to get a wider variety of products as well.

So far for me, it's not performing as well as AA.
