eBay versus Kindle for eBook

I think I made a mistake. I started to sell my eBook on Kindle and I get about 35% of the cover price for every book I sell.

Now why would I not sell it on eBay instead? If I am reading it right, I would have to pay a minimal insertion fee and then 15% of the book price to eBay, so I would end up getting 80+%, right?

Can someone tell me if I'm looking at that right? I can't see any compelling reason to continue with Amazon as, at least for me, they are generating no sales for me whatsoever as far as I can tell. If I go with eBay I should more than double my profit, right?

I have to agree with bigmodo. Clickbank is your best options for selling a book that is digital. Clickbank only charges a very small set up fee. After that you will be making solid profits. They also have a great payment system and can do affiliates for you. Why bother with amazon and ebay?

    Guys,

Tell me more! Get me started por favor. Just give me the buzzwords to do a search on and I'm all over it. But one comment: I want reliability and trust from my customers. In other words, both eBay and Amazon are well-known and so someone is more likely to buy off them I would think. How is clickbank's look and feel? Will people feel comfortable buying off of it?

    And thx for the idea!

Also, what do you mean by "they can do affiliates for you"? Do they have their own affiliates or do they act as an intermediary for other affiliates? Sorry to be so ignorant...
