eBay trademarks in domains?

I want to register an eBay related domain that might violate the TOS. I've read (and re-read) their TOS, but I'm still not sure if my domain is ok or not:

    My question is:
Where is this 'exhaustive' list that I can check my domain against? Or does eBay keep it a secret so they can claim that any word is prohibited?

    'Suggest me please?'

I think that you may have hit the nail on the head there. How about asking the question in the ebay forum directly to a moderator?

I doubt that you will get a definitive answer though, it may be a question of if you are game enough to try it and see if you receive "a letter" from their legal dept!

I'll give the eBay forum a shot, but it's almost impossible to get an OFFICIAL and DEFINITIVE answer there.

Took a guess from the avatar caption right? :)

Yep, I'm from Melbourne, but ...

I was born and raised in Richmond, so I guess I'm probably more Greek than I think :p

ebay is trademarked so if your site is long term do not use it in the domain. I am sure they have a dedicated monkey sending off the trademark violations to icann. Once they hit icann you get an email and 60 days to show cause why it is within your rights to use the trademark before you will be back at godaddy looking for a new domain.

Besides, i think ebay really has the search monopoly on that term. Furthermore you will be attracting a demographic that is probably already an ebay user if you do get search traffic for that term.
