I wonder if I get a commission for a new sign up on eBay.com through my affiliate link only if the person is from the US? Or can they be from any country in the world?
i think ebay has stopped compensation on signups but actually pays only for the active users who have actually fully activated its account and placed a bid or bought a product in BIN.. hope it helps...
Yeah, I know - in order to get a commission for a new eBay sign up, the new user needs to place a bid or BIN something. However, I wonder if the new users must be US citizens only?
It doesn't matter where they're from. People from all over the world are members of eBay.COM as well as their own local eBay.
If you notice on CJ ebay has the links for other countries as well. So I guess you just have to use the correct ones for out of the us.
I believe the bottom line is that they can be from anywhere. If it was only U.S. you would suspect them to only have "U.S." listed in the "Countries" section...
Hello, I do belive that click/activation, can be from any counutry. Since I myself use ebay's affiliate for only Japanese people in Japan, and have no problem getting commsions! But alas, one have to actually bid/buy in order for one's to get that commision.. which, I'm waiting for 3, who just signd up..
I had wondered the same thing, it seems like I only get a commission on certain signups, but I figured it was just how the system worked... I would be curious to know an official answer.
Johu: Ha, funny, why don't you ask them yourself and see how long it takes eBay to respond. Unfortunately, I'm not one to sit around and wait decades for an answer...
