for all you powersellers. or sellers. If someone buys your item (phone) paid you paypal. address is unconfirmed payment is still there for 21 days cuz ebay hold time. you shipped to the unconfirmed address his phone. with tracking and maybe signature. he recieves and then chargesback on me. what happens to that situation is it my loss?
if you have used a tracking number he wont win his chargeback claim as you have proof that he has received it. Also if he tries to claim back saying it is faulty he will not be able to get his money back until he returns the phone to you as paypal would request he provides proof it has been returned
whas the paypal policy about unconfirmed address though, thought they won't cover me. even if the person gets the package, he can say its not what mention from item or something.
He will not get hos money back unless he returns it to you. I have been there and worn the t-shirt when it comes to paypal and claims, especially where ebay is confirmed
Yeah but you should be careful , you will lose your time , and some paymetn as well. it is better if you send the item on confirmed addresses only.
Basically, you must have confirmation that you sent it to the guy's address that's listed in his paypal account. Paypal is quite a pain (and slow!) at resolving these sorts of situations... I had someone file an unauthorized paypal use claim because they were being impatient. They get their item two days later, and it took paypal another week to hand me back the funds! I'd hate to think how long it'd take for an actual judicial decision...
yes i knew this one was fishy... I recieved an unauthorized payment. i contacted the buyer apparently he had his ebay hijacked and someone used it to buy from me. What can I do here?
Each time I ship with tracking number and signature to unconfirmed address with chargeback, I lost. Period. 100% of the time...
i guess i lost $100 bucks on a used audio. lol i also used tracking and signature confirmation... nothing i can do?
PayPal is dumb and arrogant when it comes to this. You'll have to wait months for them to cooperate with eBay to address your issue case. Your powerselling doesn't have to initially halt, PayPal's new introduced policy, which is a bit better than their previous is supposed to help prevent this happening to you. All my suggestions right now, I have not dealt with this, therefore cannot instruct you. I do know you lose a lot because PayPal isn't that good with handling this (yet?).
