Ebay: Proper format of SID when using the Flexible Destination Tool

Discussion in 'Commission Junction' started by joch21, Mar 3, 2006.

    Lately ive been using the flexible destination tool and ive tried to track my clicks using sid. My links are getting lots of clicks and commissions but no SID is showing up, so I am asuming my format is wrong.

    This is what my link looks like:
    http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-XXXXXXX-5463217?loc=http://www.ebay.com&SID=TESTING

    Sometimes I just use"=" instead of %3D before SID, would this make a difference?

    actually, I have been putting the SID after the CJ link and before the ebay loc link. Maybe thats where ive been going wrong.

    I doubt the SID is case sensitive... you could probably do uppercase if you want (that's not really the part I was talking about being wrong).

    If you have doubt, make CJ generate the link for you:

    1 - Under your Advertiser, Go to the desired desired link window (text or graphic link,...) and select only 1 link (if you select more then 1 link will not work) and click the "Get html" button;

    2 - Click "Show Advanced Options".

    If your Advertiser Supports SID, you'll see a SID text box, if you do not see a SID text box this advertises has deactivated the default option, select another advertiser and start again.

    3 - Type the desired Sid Phrase: "Testing" at the SID box and click "Update Html" button.

    Get your html and this is it.
