eBay Marketing

Lately I've been trying to get back into selling on eBay and I am not too confident with adding an item without asking the question: What's the best way to market an auction? I sold four items before and wasted insertion fees cause none of them sold.

Any tips and general advice would be helpful.

I rather not, 90% of those books are filled with B.S. to be straight with you. Think about it, there are millions of these books and all of them probably teach the same thing, useless info.

There is no real need to market an auction. Ebay does an excellent job of marketing. If the items aren't selling you need to look at your description, your price point and whether the items you are selling are in demand. Research the completed items to see how the other items like yours are getting sold.

First of all, a good gallery pic can do wonders. Of all the add-ons that eBay offers, a gallery pic is the essential one.

Second, study successful sellers that are selling similar items and try to use the same key words in the title.

Third, use a counter to figure out whether it's the item/title that's not working or if it's your description.

Fourth, use lots of pics in your description.

It depends on the item you are selling on eBay.... info/product?

Describe what it is your are trying to sell, maybe I can give you a better tip. I use to run some stuff on eBay buying and selling websites.

I also blogged about how I made some money on eBay selling Godaddy promo codes list then cross promoting with web hosting services.

Like I said, it all depends on what you are selling and how you want to approach it on eBay. Millions of newbies to sell stuff too.

Example: "Make $100,000/hour eBook. Look I'm only 18 and own a house and car" Then you might want to have a hot girl pic as your thumbnail.

or... if you are selling a car... then it better be a nice ass picture of the car you are selling "washed and waxed up" so it looks nice enough to sell.

Anyways... give us some hint what you are trying to sell... then maybe you get better help.

Do a search in eBay's advanced search page using the completed auction function to determine if that item has a good sell-through-rate. Then go to terapeak and do a search for the item there.

Before you try to sell it, find out if it will sell.

I just did and search and this thing will definitely sell. So just go to terapeak, find some successful ads and copy their style of ad, but change it enough to avoid copyright problems. Then make a pic and put it in.

It should definitely sell. You could even start the bid at .99

just have a good layout good price FAST shipping - I was really successful on ebay back in the day - now I just do it per season basis

Make sure your template looks proffesional and inviting. Create an about me page and make sure you have plenty of positive feedback. Also use every space in the title, for instance: ebook AMAZING eBay sales ebooks

Buy a lot of 0.01 cent items to increase your feedback ;)

You NEED new pictures, they are very blurry.

Yeh you defiantly need to at least borrow a friends camera. My phone takes better pictures than that. maybe if you increased the light it might come out better? Most people are visual they read a little but a pictures worth a thousand words and right now your thousand words are a little unclear so people might automatically think what your selling is junk and wont even consider buying it.
